• National Community Day

10 November 2014 was a big day for Mirvac, as that was when we held our very first National Community Day.

  • National Community Day

More then 730 Mirvac employees took part in over 47 events across Australia, supporting 35 different charity partners. It was great to see our people come together for such a good cause. Even our contractors got involved, donating their services to support teams in painting, concreting and general repairs to community facilities.

At Glebe-Leichhardt PCYC we undertook a major makeover with cleaning, painting, refurbishment works and even some concreting. This was in support of their youth programs, designed to assist local kids to stay safe, active and heading in the right direction.

  • National Community Day

Youth Projects was first established in 1984 to respond to rising youth unemployment and entrenched disadvantage in the north of Melbourne.

Mirvac provided support with painting and refurbishment works.

  • National Community Day

As part of our Galleries initiative, we headed to the Scot's Church to undertake a major deep-clean of the kitchen, storage cupboards and fridge/freezers, coupled with the general clean and maintenance work. The day ended with a barbecue for all the clients who come to the kitchen for breakfast each week.

As part of Masterplanned Communities' ongoing relationship with the Westmead Children's hospital, staff participated in arts and crafts with children currently receiving treatment.
