Mirvac and LandCorp both believe that shared spaces need to contribute to public wellbeing. That’s why parkland in Hollywood and Swanbourne will have its landscaping enhanced with public artwork to lift spirit.
Already residents and the local community of Hollywood are able to enjoy four striking pieces of artwork from local artist, Judith Forrest. These pieces have been installed at significant points within the streets and park and are designed to celebrate the unique history of the site.
The sculptures are made of durable bronze and collectively form ‘Snapshots from Lupin Hill’. The four pieces refer to past or present uses of the site including ‘The March of Time’ which represents the past uses of the land for pasture and as a high school, ‘The Portrait’ which is a formal photo of first year students from a nearby camera, ‘The Rehearsal’ which is a tribute to the former Hollywood High School’s noted arts program and the last sculpture, ‘House Work’ commemorates the building of the new residential estate.
